Shopping at WEBS During COVID-19
An overview of some of the changes we've made here at WEBS to allow our customers and staff to feel safe & comfortable in the store.
A. Masks are required for both you and our team. This is a city ordinance in Northampton. If you have an underlying health issue that precludes you from wearing a mask, please utilize our curbside pickup or order online.
B. You will be required to use hand sanitizer prior to entering the store, and again prior to checking out. There will be hand sanitizer available as you move from the store to the warehouse and back for your convenience. If you have an allergy, we encourage you to utilize our curbside pickup or order online. Keeping all of you and our team safe is our priority.
C. You will see a lot of changes in the store when you visit. We have removed some of our products and fixtures to allow a better flow through the store. We realize that it won't be perfect. Social distancing is difficult at best in any retail situation-even the linear format in grocery stores is challenging-but we will do our best.
D. Most of the cone yarns and shelving have been removed from the store, and integrated into the warehouse in aisle 700. This is not an indication that our community of weavers is not important to us. It was necessary to remove the pod of weaving yarns in order to give all of you the safest shopping experience we can.
E. The spinning area has also been moved to the warehouse. This allows us to use the spinning space for yarn display, again, in an effort to spread things out.
F. We have purchased several new fixtures to enhance the displays and shopping experience.
G. The pattern table, pattern binders, chairs in the front of the store, and table in the warehouse have all been removed. We've added two computers that will allow you to access yarn.com and Ravelry for pattern searches. You may want to bring a notebook with you for making notes as you search.
H. Please keep your family at home, it will help us to keep the capacity in the store to a minimum for the time being.
I. Please remember-we are not accepting returns in the store at this time.

How to Knit an Argyle Style Pattern
Переглядів 7 тис.5 років тому
This is a technique for creating an Argyle style pattern on a field of two row garter stripes. It’s much simpler to create than it looks! You can create different versions of the Argyle Stripe pattern by changing the spacing between the lifted stitches, which alters the width of the Argyle Diamond. If you enjoy this stitch technique, you can play around with it and make it your own. This Argyle...

When I was knitting for my growing family I used this stitch to graft sweater shoulders ect, now like my eyes out with a bodkin and the my hands to stop them shaking, okay a bit excessive, I'm trying to graft the two halves of a sideways knitted cardigan for granddaughters Barbie. I must be insane in my senility.

Good video. The one thing that keeps throwing me for a loop at the very beginning of the illustration, when you say "the first thing you do is point your needle..."then you first point as though you are going to Knit, then switch to Purl, even though you do later say Purl. I am SO visual that I have to watch itvover and over to remind me which to do first. Thereafter, it's one of best videos and I have it all down pat. Is there a way to edit that one wrong point in the beginning? :)

I just finished my first ever crochet project... A beanie... By the time I reached 90% of it, yarn started to get over... And you know, at that point you don't wanna buy the same yarn again... So I fixer uppered the top of it... Alternate slip stitched it together (yarn got over along the middle... Thankfully had taken a long tail in the beginning, used that to slip stitch the rest)... I somehow made it work and I couldn't be more proud ☺... It's soooo pretty... I used the technique here because my rows were too short and I needed extra length ❤
